Designed with You in Mind
Although our Pod Campers are compact and light weight they are built both tough and durable.
The frame work is constructed from Australian Steel, measuring up to 50mm x 50mm x 5mm beneath the Pod it's self and 100mm x 50mm x 2.5mm on the drawbar.
This is all held to terra firma via a 750kg GTM (Gross Trailer Mass), 4 leaf eye to eye spring suspension kit finished off with 14inch, Ford stud patterned steel rims with light truck tyres.
We want Your Pod Camper to last, so we build it tough.
Our motto "Over Kill is underrated"
Our Pod Campers are constructed from Pantec XTRALITE 30mm White Honeycomb Panel known as HOLYPAN.
Holypan is a thermoplastic sandwich panel consisting of a lightweight polypropylene-honeycomb core and fibreglass reinforced polypropylene-face sheets that are thermofused together by a lamination/melting process.
Holypan has a strength-to-weight ratio that gives it impact-absorbent properties as well as being 100% waterproof and will not rot.
Put simply, Holypan is both lightweight and strong, we then tie it all together with a Polymer Adhesive and Bulb Tite Aluminium Rivets. This allows us to build a Pod that is not only light but exceptionally strong.
For longevity, we strive to also use Stainless Steel fasteners, nuts and washers through out the build where possible. Tail lights are encased in a fabricated steel housing to protect them from those little "reverse by feel" parking incidents.

The Build

The sleeping compartment of our Pod Camper is accessed by two doors with built in security screens allowing the cabin to benefit from cross breezes while still being secure. The cabin also has installed a solar powered exhaust fan. We then line the interior with insulation then finish the fit out with carpet for your comfort, it also has a generous storage compartment, to this we can also install LED lighting and a compartment to hold your mobile phone as its being charged with a built in USB charging port.
